The Challenge

OLA Energy is a leading distributor of petroleum products throughout Africa. Operating in 17 markets, OLA aims to bring quality products and services to its customers throughout the continent.

As part of its Smart Station Strategy, OLA required a digital training academy to standardise training across its franchise network of more than 10 000 staff, to ensure compliance and add value for new dealers.

At the time of the brief, OLA had just undergone a rebrand and needed assistance to develop its corporate image, in addition to digitising its multi-lingual training programme.

Its existing training programme was all classroom-based and took dealers in excess of 3 days to complete. When training was administered, it was ad-hoc and without a standardised framework, making tracking difficult and leaving the brand exposed to compliance risks.

Our Solution

WinWin proposed the development of an immersive online learning academy with 4 major schools of learning:

  • Territory Manager School

  • Pump Attendant School

  • Dealer School

  • Store Management School

Content would be immersive and interactive, with assessments to test learning.

WinWin was selected from a group of international companies to be the supplier and partner for OLA Energy’s Online Academy. This learning would also be translated and made available in the required languages for training.
