The Brief

As part of AB InBev’s digital transformation, they were introducing a new global sales platform to their 620 strong national Sales Team. OnTap would replace their existing platform, giving the sales team access to increased information, improved automation and digitisation of daily activities.

At the time of the briefing, the app was still in the development phase with bugs being fixed and new features being added and tested daily.

WinWin was tasked with creating a training solution that would, not only ensure a smooth transition to OnTap, but also assist with managing the change process and user adoption component.

An additional requirement was that the entire training solution  be driven using technology. All activities, interactive engagements and facilitated sessions were to be conducted exclusively by digital and multimedia solutions.

Our Solution

A BLENDED LEARNING APPROACH

WinWin Facilitators led short impactful sessions that included:-
•    High energy, competitive plenary engagements.
•    Augmented Reality activities to highlight key
     features and benefits.
•    Virtual Reality exercises that immersed learners
     into their customer’s world.
•    OnTap simulations allowed learners to interact and
     play with the App without the risk of impacting the
     actual platform.
•    All activities, simulations and progress tracking
     was hosted on our IWIN LMS (ABIU - AB InBev
     Digital University).

DISRUPTION - COVID-19

After launching the first OnTap training session COVID-19 sprung a national lockdown.

With a whole new challenge at hand, the team rallied together to recreate all the OnTap content to make it intuitive, and self-guided.

Without the aid of a facilitation team, the sales staff now needed to complete the training on their own. This was made possible using interactive online features, multimedia tools and gamification, guided through digital prompts and voiceovers.

All the content was re-uploaded onto AB InBev University (ABIU), and within 5 days, the physical training solution was transformed into a fully online, digital, self-learning solution.

The sales reps were then able to complete the training on AB InBev University ahead of the launch of the new OnTap sales app.
